In view of the rising number of passengers, North Western Railway has decided to extend the run of the Barmer-Haridwar-Barmer special train. This special train will now operate until August 27, 2026, providing travel convenience to thousands of passengers from Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttarakhand.
**Haridwar Special Train to Run Until August 27**
According to the Railways, a massive crowd of pilgrims flocks to Haridwar during the month of Sawan and upcoming festivals. Considering this, the Railways has decided to add 12 extra trips for this special train. This will increase the chances of passengers securing confirmed seats and reduce the pressure on regular trains.
The Barmer-Haridwar special train (04811/04812) was previously operated for a limited period. Now, the service has been extended in response to the need and passenger demand. The Railways has not altered the train's timings or stoppages; only the operational period has been extended so that the maximum number of passengers can benefit from it.
**Train Number 04811 (Barmer-Haridwar)** – This train operates every Monday and Thursday.
**Train Number 04812 (Haridwar-Barmer)** – This train runs every Tuesday and Friday.
**Stoppages** – The train also stops at Gotan and Merta Road stations, providing direct convenience to pilgrims from the surrounding areas.
**Route** – The train will reach Haridwar via major stations including Barmer, Balotra, Samdari, Jodhpur, Merta Road, Degana, Churu, Sadulpur, and Hisar in Rajasthan. Passengers will enjoy the same facilities on the return journey as well.
According to the Railways, the number of pilgrims visiting Haridwar surges during the Sawan season. Consequently, the decision to introduce extra trips was made with passenger convenience and crowd management in mind. This will provide Kanwariyas and other travelers with the option of a comfortable journey.
