The Railways is going to implement a major mega-block to repair and strengthen the structure of the historic railway bridge over the Ganges River near Kanpur.
This work will begin on April 2, 2026, and will last for approximately 42 days. This long block will directly impact the movement of many trains. Some trains will be cancelled, others may have their routes altered, and many may also have their timings changed. Therefore, check the complete list before booking tickets.

- Train No. 54325/26 Sitapur-Kanpur-Sitapur Passenger
- Train No. 64212/64203/64214 Kanpur-Lucknow MEMU
These trains have been short-terminated:
- The Agra Fort-Lucknow Intercity will now originate and terminate at Kanpur Central instead of Lucknow.
- The Pune-Lucknow Express will continue to have Kanpur Central as its starting and ending point.
- The Lucknow-LTT Express will now run to Kanpur Central, not Lucknow.
