Recently, SBI has removed an employee from the job due to poor CIBIL score and this decision has also been considered correct by the Madras High Court. Now this decision has blown the minds of all the fraudsters.
What is the whole matter?
State Bank of India (SBI) had given an appointment letter to a candidate P. Karthikeyan. This job was for the post of Circle Based Officer. Karthikeyan had also passed the examination and interview, but a few days after receiving the appointment letter, the bank cancelled his joining. It was told that when the bank checked Karthikeyan's CIBIL report (credit report), many serious financial irregularities were found in it.
Delay in loan payment, credit card dues and other bad records were recorded in the report. The bank said that a candidate who has a bad financial history cannot be assigned work related to public money in the bank. Apart from this, SBI told the court that it is clearly written in the terms of the recruitment advertisement that if a candidate's CIBIL or other credit report is bad, then he will not be considered right for the job. And this rule is recorded in section 1 (E) of the advertisement.
What is the court's decision?
Madras High Court said in its judgment on this case that just repaying the loan is not enough, but it is important to have a good financial history throughout the time. The court said, the entire history of the loan is checked. If any candidate applies for a job, he will have to follow the rules written in the advertisement. If the conditions of recruitment have already been accepted, then this rule cannot be challenged. Therefore, if you are not repaying the loan due to fraud or negligence, then keep in mind that you may also face problems in getting a job.
