Delhi Metro has increased the fare after 8 years. Now traveling from Laxmi Nagar to Millennium City Center by token will cost 60 rupees and by smart card it will cost 54 rupees. It takes about 58 minutes to cover this distance.

For those who travel daily by Delhi Metro, now a little more weight is going to increase on the pocket. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has increased the fare from Monday 25 August. This increase has happened after 8 years. Earlier, DMRC had last increased the fare in the year 2017.

How much have the prices increased?

According to DMRC, the fare has increased from 1 to 4 rupees according to the distance. On the other hand, passengers on the Airport Express Line will now have to pay five rupees more. After these changes, now the minimum fare of Delhi Metro has become 11 rupees and the maximum fare has become 64 rupees.

Delhi Metro's new rate list

0-2 km: 10 to 11 rupees
2-5 km: 20 to 21 rupees
5-12 km: 30 to 31 rupees
12-21 km: 40 to 42 rupees
21-32 km: 50 to 54 rupees
More than 32 km: 60 to 64 rupees

DMCR has also revised the fare on Sundays and national holidays. However, the fare on these days will be slightly less than the normal rates.

Relief on smart card

DMCR has clarified that the increase in fare is nominal. Despite this, passengers using smart cards will continue to get 10% discount as before. Also, the extra 10% discount will continue during off-peak hours before 8 am, between 12 noon to 5 pm and after 9 pm.

How much will be the fare from Laxmi Nagar to Millennium City Centre now?

Now, passengers will have to pay more fare for going from Laxmi Nagar to Millennium City Centre while travelling by Delhi Metro's Blue Line and Yellow Line. Passengers going from Laxmi Nagar to Millennium City Centre will have to pay a token fare of Rs. 60. While people using smart cards will have to pay a fare of Rs. 54. On the other hand, the travel time from Laxmi Nagar to Millennium City Centre is approximately 58 minutes. In which one has to change metro three times. Apart from this, the first metro from here starts at 6 am while the last metro is at 11 pm.
