Some new changes will be implemented regarding UPI in the country from September 15. Which will affect many people. NPCI i.e. National Payments Corporation of India has increased the limit for high-value transactions. People with big business and investments will benefit from this.
On the other hand, it will not have any effect on those who make small payments on a daily basis. The limit for capital market and insurance payments has now increased significantly. Earlier, a transaction used to be up to Rs 2 lakh. Now the same limit has become Rs 5 lakh.
Along with this, the total transaction limit in 24 hours has been increased to Rs 10 lakh. The limit has also been increased for government e-marketplace and tax payments. Earlier, only up to Rs 1 lakh payment could be made. But now it has been increased to Rs 5 lakh. This will provide relief to businessmen and those who make big payments.
The limit has also been changed to make travel booking easier during the festive season. Now up to Rs 5 lakh payment can be made in railway, airline and other travel ticket bookings. Here the daily transaction limit will be Rs 10 lakh. So that people can make advance booking comfortably.
The limit has also been increased for credit card bill payment and EMI. Now a single payment can be made up to Rs 5 lakh. The daily limit for credit card will be Rs 6 lakh and for EMI it will be up to Rs 10 lakh. For normal users, the limit will remain the same as before.
