If you remember while travelling by train that you have left some of your luggage in the train, then you should immediately lodge a complaint about it through the Rail Madad app. You can also register your complaint by visiting the Rail Madad website.

Apart from this, you have to inform the officials present at the station where you have left your luggage after getting down there. Apart from this, you also have to inform the Railway Police Force about this.

If the luggage is not found there immediately, then you have to register your FIR with the RPF. After this, if your luggage is found, then it is searched and sent to the same station where the complaint of its loss was lodged.

Railways also has a Lost and Found Cell. Every item found is entered in it and kept safe. You can go there or call and ask whether your bag or thing is deposited there or not. You also have to show your ID to get your stuff back.
