If you do not want your Ration Card to be canceled, then do this before 31 December.
If you have a ration card and you are taking free food grains under the Antyodaya scheme, then you have to take immediate steps. The government has made e-KYC mandatory for ration card holders. Through this process, the government wants to ensure that only needy people get the benefit of free food grains.
What is e-KYC and why is it necessary
The aim of the government is that the benefit of ration reaches only the needy people. Many times it happens that ration cards are made in the name of the wrong people. Due to this, the benefit of the government scheme does not reach the right people.
That is why the government has made e-KYC mandatory for ration card holders. Through e-KYC, the government will confirm the identity of the ration card holders and cancel the ration card made in the wrong way.
Last date of e-KYC extended.
Earlier the last date for e-KYC was 30 September, but now it has been extended to 31 December 2024. If you have not done e-KYC yet, then do it soon. If you do not get e-KYC done on time, then your ration card may be canceled and you will not get the benefit of free grains.
