If you are traveling by train, then know how you can book railway retiring rooms for just Rs 10 for a stay
Indian Railways has started many services for the benefit of rail passengers across India, one of which is retiring rooms. One can visit the official website (https://www.rr.irctc.co.in) to book retiring rooms at the boarding station and another at the destination station. For this, you have to use a valid PNR number, whose status will be RAC/Confirm.
One can book retiring rooms as per the reservation period of PRS tickets i.e. currently 120 days only.
Retiring rooms are available in single, double, and dormitory types of occupancy, with AC and non-AC combinations available for a minimum of 3 hours to a maximum of 48 hours at a very low price. Hourly booking is also available at some stations.
Indian Railways will allocate a single bed room a double bed room or a bed in a dormitory for a passenger. For two passengers, a double bedroom or two beds in a dormitory can be allotted. However, you can check more options by visiting the retiring room website by clicking here.

Retiring room charges:
Rs 20 for up to 24 hours for retiring room
Rs 10 for up to 24 hours for dormitory bed
Rs 40 for 24 hours to 48 hours for retiring room
Rs 20 for 24 hours to 48 hours for dormitory bed
As per the rule, people with waitlisted tickets cannot get retiring rooms, however, passengers who have RAC and confirmed tickets can book and get retiring rooms.
If the train is late and you are unable to reach the given check-in time, you can still avail of a retiring room as the railways allow late check-in up to 1 hour after the train arrives.
You can also cancel the retiring room after booking. For this, you have to visit the official website (https://www.rr.irctc.co.in) and then go to the Booking History in My Account option and cancel the booking.
