According to Indian Railways, on June 28, a passenger left their mobile phone behind in coach C5 of the Vande Bharat Express (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Amritsar, Train No. 26406). While on duty, the train's checking staff discovered the mobile phone lying on a seat. They obtained the passenger's number via the PNR, established contact, and—after verifying the details—safely handed over the phone to the passenger's brother at Amritsar station. The passenger expressed gratitude to the Railways and the checking staff.

In another incident on June 28, passengers traveling in coach B12 (berths 59-60) of train number 22401 forgot their wallet on the train. They contacted the on-duty checking staff at Jammu Tawi station, who located the wallet. It was handed over to the passenger after the verification process was completed at the Ticket Inspector's office in Jammu.

Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Jammu), stated, "Passenger convenience and safety are priorities for the Railways. We are proud of the promptness and honesty demonstrated by our checking staff. Safely returning passengers' belongings is not merely a duty but a reflection of a spirit of service. We also urge passengers to remain vigilant regarding their belongings during the journey and to immediately contact 139 or the nearest railway staff if any item is left behind." The passengers expressed their gratitude for the railway staff's honesty and prompt assistance.
