PM Kisan: The 20th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan) was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2 August 2025 through DBT from Varanasi. Why is it necessary to get e-KYC done?

E-KYC is the most important process to avail the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Without e-KYC, the amount of PM Kisan is not released. You can complete it even sitting at home, if your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar.

Steps to do e-KYC sitting at home

Go to the official website of PM Kisan https://pmkisan.gov.in.

Click on the e-KYC option on the right side of the homepage.

Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and click on search.

Enter the OTP received on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.

The process will be completed after the message of e-KYC successfully submitted appears on the screen.

Mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar?

If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, then you have to go to the nearest CSC (Common Service Center). There your e-KYC will be done through biometrics.

If the installment does not come to your account even after e-KYC and all other corrections, then you can directly call the Kisan Helpline number 1800-180-1551. From here you will get guidance to solve the problem.
