The IG or Inspector General of Police's uniform has a sword and a star. The badge is marked with IPS. This is a very important post in the police department.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG)
The DIG is also called the Deputy Inspector General of Police. Their uniform has IPS written on it and features the Ashoka Pillar along with three stars.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)

Head Constable

Constable
