HR88B8888: The most expensive VIP number plate, it's enough to buy a Defender... find out how to get it..
VIP Registration Plate E-Auction Process: Haryana has set a new record in the auction of VIP number plates. The number plate HR88B8888 was auctioned here for ₹1.17 crore (US$2.9 million). This makes it the most expensive car registration number plate ever auctioned in the country. By Wednesday afternoon in Sonipat, bidding had reached ₹88 lakh (US$2.8 million), and by evening, it had closed at ₹1.17 crore (US$2.9 million). The base price for numbers in the HR88 series was reportedly ₹50,000, but the auction price exceeded ₹1 crore (US$2.9 million). This unique number plate features a sequence of 8s, including the letter B in the middle, which resembles an 8, resulting in ₹8 appearing seven times on the number plate.
The successful bidder must deposit the full amount and reserve the number within 5 days. After the full payment is made, the HR88B8888 plate will be given to the owner of the vehicle registered with the Kundli RTO. Luxury car enthusiasts and those who believe in numerology keep an eye on such number plates and want to acquire them at any opportunity. Let's learn how to obtain such VIP number plates.
