Lado Lakshmi Yojana: Governments in various states across the country are running different schemes to empower women financially. In this regard, the Haryana government has launched the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana. This scheme aims to strengthen the social security of women by providing them with direct financial assistance every month.

The government believes that with a regular income, women will be able to make their own decisions regarding their daily expenses, children's education, and health. The scope of this scheme is being expanded over time so that more and more needy women can benefit from it. Under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women receive Rs. 2100 every month. Learn about the application process for the scheme.

Which women will receive Rs. 2100?

Under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women are being provided with a total assistance of Rs. 2100 every month. Of this, Rs. 1100 is directly deposited into the woman's bank account, while Rs. 1000 is deposited by the government as a recurring deposit or fixed deposit. The benefit of this is that women will receive a secure amount with interest in the future.

Regarding eligibility, the woman must be at least 23 years old and a permanent resident of Haryana. Earlier, the annual income limit was Rs. 1 lakh, but now it has been increased to Rs. 1 lakh 80 thousand for some categories. Both married and unmarried women can apply. More than one woman from the same family can also avail the benefits of the scheme.

How to apply?

The application process for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana will be entirely online. First, it is necessary to update the Family ID (Parivar Pehchan Patra) data, as income and family information will be verified through it. Once applications open, you will have to register on the official portal of the Haryana government. Documents such as Aadhaar card, PPP number, income certificate, Haryana domicile certificate, bank passbook, and mobile number will need to be uploaded. Married women will also have to provide information related to their husband's Haryana residency.

New Changes in the Scheme

Following a recent cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced significant changes to the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. Now, mothers of students who score more than 80 percent marks in the 10th and 12th grades will also be covered under this scheme.

Additionally, women associated with the Nipun Yojana and those actively involved in preventing malnutrition or anemia among children will also receive a benefit of Rs. 2100. The government has also clarified that if a beneficiary woman passes away prematurely, the deposited amount will be handed over directly to the nominee without any delay.
