After a long time BJP government has been formed in Delhi. Before the elections, many schemes were announced by BJP for the people of Delhi. Some of these schemes have not started yet. Among these, Mahila Samman Yojana for women is the most prominent.

The previous government of Delhi i.e. Aam Aadmi Party government had started a scheme to facilitate women to travel free in buses. Which has also been retained by the BJP government. But some changes are going to be made in it.

Let us tell you that currently women have to take pink slip to travel in DTC buses in Delhi. But now according to the new decision of the government, women will not be able to travel free on pink slip. Because now preparations have been made to replace it.

Now women of Delhi will be given smart cards to travel free in DTC buses. However, some rules have been set by the Delhi government in this too. Not all women will be able to get this smart card.

In the Free Bus Travel Scheme, the Delhi government will now check whether the beneficiary woman is a resident of Delhi or not. Only then will they be given a smart card. For this, women will have to show documents that can prove that they are residents of Delhi.

According to the information received from the government, women will have to apply by filling a form for a smart card. In which it will be necessary to attach a copy of any government identity card like Aadhar card, voter card or ration card.

Only women living in Delhi will get the facility of free travel in DTC buses. If a woman is a resident of NCR areas like Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram. Then she will not be able to get the benefit of free travel facility.
