What is FASTag Annual Pass?

FASTag Annual Pass is a prepaid facility, under which you can travel on National Highways and Expressways for one year or 200 trips without recharging again and again by paying just Rs 3,000. This facility is only for non-commercial vehicles. Such as car, jeep, van. Its purpose is that people who travel on the highway daily do not have to bother about toll every time and their pocket expenses are also reduced.

How to check whether you will get the annual pass of Fastag or not?

1. Which category does your vehicle belong to - This pass can be available on non-commercial vehicles or private use vehicles like car, jeep, van, but the pass will not be available on commercial vehicles like truck, bus, taxi, loading vehicle etc. If your vehicle is private, then you can proceed for the pass.

2. Is FASTag active or not - FASTag Annual Pass will be available only if FASTag is active, linked to the vehicle number and installed properly on the car. FASTag should be scanned while passing through the toll plaza. If not, then get the FASTag updated first.

3. Which route do you use more - This pass will be valid only on toll plazas under NHAI and MoRTH (Ministry of Road Transport). Such as Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Mumbai-Nashik Highway, Mumbai-Surat Highway, but this pass will not work on state highways or municipal corporation tolls such as Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Mahamarg. If your daily travel is on highways under the Central Government, then this pass will be beneficial for you.

4. How often do you travel - If you cross the toll plaza more than 15-20 times in a month, then this pass will save both your money and time. This pass will not be beneficial for those who travel less.

5. Do you have the necessary documents or not - While purchasing the pass, keep the necessary documents ready like vehicle registration certificate, active FASTag ID, valid mobile number and payment mode.

How to buy FASTag annual pass online?

1. Visit NHAI website, MoRTH site or Highway Yatra app

2. Login with your FASTag ID or vehicle number.

3. Pay Rs 3,000 through UPI or digital payment.

4. You will get information about pass activation through SMS.

5. The pass will be activated from August 15, 2025, but the pass will be valid only for one year or 200 trips.

6. Apart from this, the pass is non-transferable and non-refundable.

7. FASTag annual pass will not be auto-renewed after expiry, you will have to apply again.
