How to become a Brigadier?

To become a Brigadier, first you have to join the Indian Army as an officer.

National Defense Academy (NDA) - This is the most popular option after 12th. After passing from here, the cadet gets the rank of Lieutenant after training.

Combined Defense Services Examination (CDS) - After graduation, officer training can be taken by going to institutions like Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA) through CDS.

Technical Entry Scheme (TES) / Engineering Course - Technical graduates also have an opportunity to become officers in the army. Once a lieutenant is made, the promotion of the officer is based on experience, service record and qualification set by the board.
