How to become an NSG: In India, various forces work for our security. NSG Eligibility

• Age must be between 18 and 35 years.
• Physical and mental fitness is essential.
• Height must be at least 157 centimeters.

Selection Process and Training
Becoming an NSG commando is not easy. The selection and training are extremely rigorous. First, soldiers selected from the army or security forces must complete 26 tasks in just 25 minutes. After this, they undergo 90 days of rigorous training.
During this process:
• Practice firing more than 50,000 rounds.
• Hitting 14 targets within 25 seconds.
• Enduring difficult conditions, obstacles, and regular practice.
It is said that only 20 out of 100 soldiers can complete this training.

Allowances, Salary, and Benefits

NSG commandos receive a good salary and allowances.
• Salary: Approximately ₹80,000 to ₹160,000 per month.
• Dress allowance: ₹27,800 for operational duties and ₹21,275 for non-operational duties annually.
