Thousands of mobile users across the country had to face a big problem on Monday evening. Initially, the news came that the Airtel network was down. Users were unable to use both calls and the internet. After this, many people claimed that the problem is also being seen in Vodafone-Idea (Vi) and Jio networks.

There was a flood of complaints on social media. People were surprised that there could be a problem in the networks of all the big companies at the same time. Many users sought answers from the companies through platforms like Twitter (X). The special thing was that Jio also gave an official clarification in this matter.

According to reports, big cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore had the most problems. Airtel users were not able to use mobile data, let alone calls. According to outage tracking website Downdetector, the problem in Airtel started around 3:30 pm. Some reports put it at 4:30 pm. More than 3 thousand complaints were registered from Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru alone. By around 5:30 pm, the service started improving slowly.

Although Airtel users faced the most problems, reports said that Jio and Vodafone-Idea users also had to face network problems. About 200 complaints were registered on Jio. About 50 complaints were reported regarding Vi. Complaints were received from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Patna.

People said that they were neither able to make calls nor use the internet. A user jokingly wrote, "Is Airtel down in Delhi? For the last one hour my wife is thinking that I am ignoring her calls. Thank you Airtel, for turning the network problem into a marriage problem."

Airtel admitted that there was a problem in the network and immediate efforts were made to fix it. On the other hand, Jio clarified that their network was working normally throughout the day. All Jio-to-Jio calls and calls from Jio to other networks were running smoothly. The problem occurred only when Jio users made calls on a network that was already experiencing downtime.
