Which documents are valid

UIDAI recognizes more than 15 address proof documents. This includes passport, bank statement, ration card, voter ID, gas, electricity and water bills which should not be more than 3 months old, insurance policy, property tax receipt and lease agreement. Along with this, you may also need identity card like PAN card, passport or voter ID to change the address in Aadhaar card.

How to download new Aadhaar after address update

After the address is updated in the Aadhaar card, to download it, click on Download Aadhaar on the UIDAI website.

After this, you have to enter Aadhaar number, captcha code and OTP.

Now you will see the option of verify and download, click on it. After this, you will see the option of PDF download, through which you can download the PDF of the Aadhaar card.

This downloaded e-Aadhaar is valid everywhere. If you want a physical copy, then you can also ask for a reprint from UIDAI for Rs 50.
