Holi Special Buses Delhi to Prayagraj: Many people from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar come to Delhi for work, but during festivals, people are often unable to travel home due to a lack of leave or train tickets. However, the state government also operates buses during festivals. This time, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has decided to run special buses on various routes, including Prayagraj, from February 28th to March 9th to facilitate travelers during the 2026 Holi festival. Additional buses will be operated from Anand Vihar in Delhi to Prayagraj to provide relief from the crowds for travelers traveling home.
According to the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), special Holi buses will be operated on routes from Delhi to Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Lucknow to ensure that people do not face any challenges in reaching their homes. Holi Special Bus Routes
Delhi to Prayagraj (via Kanpur), Delhi to Varanasi (via Lucknow-Raebareli), and Delhi to Ayodhya/Gorakhpur. Roadways will operate 148 additional trips on seven main routes in the Prayagraj region for 11 days. Delhi's Anand Vihar and Kaushambi depots experience the highest traffic to Prayagraj. The Prayagraj route will operate 20% more buses than normal. For long-distance travelers, the number of Janrath (AC) and Shatabdi buses has also been increased, reaching Prayagraj with fewer stops.

Holi Special Bus Timings
As per the UPSRTC current schedule from Delhi, the first bus from Anand Vihar to Prayagraj departs at 1:00 PM, and the last bus departs around 2:31 PM. However, depending on the number of passengers during Holi, additional buses will be deployed every 1-2 hours.
