Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has canceled the English examination of class 12th at all the examination centers in the state due to the possibility of a paper leak. Officials gave information about this on Friday. Actually, in the Government Senior Secondary School located in Chauwari of Chamba district, teachers mistakenly opened the English question paper of class 12th instead of class 10th, after which this decision was taken. According to the information, the English exam of class 10th was on March 7, while the English exam of class 12th was on March 8.
The paper opened before time.
According to the official notification issued by the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, an anonymous complaint was received on March 7. It alleged that the English paper of class 12th was opened before the scheduled date and time. Following this, the board immediately investigated the matter and verified the claim using video evidence from the 'Exam Mitra App', a new monitoring system introduced to enhance security. Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Secretary Vishal Sharma said on Friday that the organization has taken the matter seriously.
Order to cancel the exam
Using the powers conferred under Section 2-1-2 of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Examination Regulations, 1993 (as amended up to July 2017), the board chairman ordered the immediate cancellation of the Class 12 English examination across the state. He stressed that maintaining the sanctity of the examination process is the top priority and any lapse in security will not be tolerated. According to the notification, the new date for the re-examination will be announced in due course. Students are advised to keep getting information through the official communication of the board.
