HDFC Bank has changed the process for complimentary airport lounge access for its debit cardholders. The bank recently (effective January 10, 2026) introduced a voucher-based system, replacing the simple card swipe method. This means that the process for availing free airport lounge access facility with an HDFC Bank debit card will now depend not only on fulfilling the spending criteria but also on claiming a digital voucher sent via SMS or email.

What has changed for you?
According to HDFC Bank, customers who have met the spending criteria of Rs 10,000 every three months will receive a message or email on their registered mobile number or email ID within 2-3 working days. This will contain a link to claim their lounge access voucher.

The HDFC Bank customer will need to click on this link to claim the voucher. After claiming, a 12-18 digit voucher code will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number. This voucher code must be shown at the airport lounge entry to avail the complimentary access.

Previously, customers who met the spending criteria of Rs 5,000 every three months were eligible for airport lounge benefits in the next quarter. They simply had to swipe their physical debit card at the lounge.

How to claim your HDFC Bank lounge voucher?
Step 1: HDFC Bank debit card customers will receive a message or email with a link to claim their lounge voucher upon fulfilling the quarterly spending criteria of Rs 10,000.

Step 2: Click on the link, log in with your registered mobile number, and verify the OTP.

Step 3: The customer must log in using the mobile number to which the eligibility communication was sent. Even if the mobile number has changed after the eligibility communication, the customer must still log in using the old mobile number. Step 4: After the OTP is verified, the customer will be able to see the lounge access voucher details on the claim page.

Step 5: To claim the lounge access voucher, click on the 'claim now' tab and verify the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 6: Upon claiming the voucher, the customer will receive a voucher delivery email and message with a 12-18 digit alphanumeric voucher code or QR code.

Step 7: To avail the lounge benefits, present the voucher or QR code at any empanelled lounge.

What is the validity of the HDFC Bank lounge voucher?
The HDFC Bank lounge voucher is valid until the end of the next quarter from the date of issuance. The number of complimentary lounge accesses per quarter will depend on your HDFC Bank Debit Card variant. During this period, the number of complimentary lounge visits per quarter is 1 for Millennia, Times, and GIGA cards, while it is 2 for Platinum and Business cards, and 4 for Infiniti cards.
