When were petrol and diesel prices last hiked?
The last major hike in petrol and diesel prices occurred in May 2021. On May 25, petrol prices rose by ₹2.61 per litre and diesel by ₹2.71 per litre. Prior to that, there was a hike of 90 paise on May 23, and fuel prices had increased by 90 paise per litre on May 19.
