Now farming is not just hard work, but with the help of these government schemes, farmers can move forward on every front, from technology, irrigation, insurance, and selling crops.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a new scheme for farmers, 'Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana'. Along with this, the government is also continuously strengthening the already running schemes, so that direct help reaches the farmers' accounts.

1. Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday approved another big scheme for farmers, named 'Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana' (PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana). This scheme will focus on those areas of the country where farming has been a loss-making deal till now. According to the government, this scheme will not only reduce the cost of farming but will also increase the income of the farmer. Often, the biggest problem for farmers is that there is no assurance of weather, fewer irrigation facilities, and no storage space after harvesting the crop. On top of this, if there is a shortage of money, then it becomes difficult to even buy fertilizers and seeds.

But now the solution to all these problems is going to come out through 'Paddy-Dhanya Krishi Yojana' (PM Dhan Dhanya Yojana). This scheme will be implemented from the year 2025-26 and will run continuously for 6 years. Initially, 100 backward districts of the country have been included in it. The government will spend Rs 24,000 crore every year, and it is expected that about 1.7 crore farmers will get direct benefits from this.

2. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is the most popular farmer scheme in the country. Under the PM Kisan Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana 2025), every eligible farmer is given a help of Rs 6,000 in a year. This money is transferred directly to the bank account of the farmers in three installments. So far, crores of farmers have benefited under this scheme. If you have not registered for it yet, then you can apply for free by visiting the PM-KISAN portal.

So far, 19 installments have been released under this scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the last installment, i.e., the 19th installment, on 24 February 2025. Now, crores of farmers of the country are waiting for the 20th installment (PM Kisan 20th Installment Date). The 20th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana 20th Installment) is going to be released soon.

If you want to know when the money for the next installment of Kisan Yojana (PM Kisan Next Installment) will come? So let us tell you that PM Modi is going to visit the Motihari district of Bihar on 18th July. It is expected that the 20th installment can be released from there. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this.

3. Kisan Credit Card
If you need money immediately for farming and go to the bank, it is difficult to get a loan. But with the Kisan Credit Card, you can easily take a loan at a low interest rate. Under this, it is no longer difficult to take a loan from the bank to meet the expenses of farming. Under the Kisan Credit Card Scheme, farmers get loans at low interest for work like farming, animal husbandry, or gardening. The government also gives a subsidy on interest. You can apply by going to the nearest bank or through the CSC center. Now, the government has also linked KCC to the PM Kisan Scheme, which has made the application even easier. If you have an account in PM Kisan, then there will be no problem in applying for KCC.

4. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana
If the crop is damaged due to weather or pests, then it will not be compensated from the farmer's pocket. Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, your crop is insured at a very low premium, due to which the loss is compensated by the government in case of crop damage. In case of loss, the government gives compensation in the form of insurance. The special thing is that the insurance money comes directly to your account.

5. PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana

In areas where irrigation facilities are limited, farmers are not able to harvest crops throughout the year. Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana aims to provide water to every farm. In this, the government gives a subsidy for applying modern methods like drip irrigation and sprinkler systems. That is, the government bears half the cost. With this, a good crop can be taken even with less water.

If you are a farmer or someone in your family does farming, then these government schemes can directly bring a change in your life. Money comes directly into the account from these sources, insurance provides protection, and farming becomes easier with loans. The central government claims that these schemes will increase the income of farmers, reduce costs, and make farming a more profitable deal.
