Karnataka Jobs News: The Karnataka government has announced a new scheme to increase employment in the state's backward districts. Under this initiative, businesses creating new jobs in specific districts will receive financial aid from the government. The government's objective is to maximize job creation and expand employment opportunities for the youth.

Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced the 'Udyog Nidhi Yojana' on Independence Day. According to the scheme, businesses creating new jobs in Karnataka's 10 most backward districts will be assisted ₹2,500 per month. This support will be provided for two years. The scheme is expected to generate approximately 1 lakh (100,000) new jobs.

Government's Major Employment Mission

This scheme is part of the government's larger 'Chief Minister's Employment Mission,' which emphasizes creating new employment opportunities for the youth. The government believes that by fostering new businesses and increasing employment in backward districts, residents can find work opportunities within their own regions.

The Chief Minister also stated that the government is preparing to fill 72,000 vacant government posts across various departments. The recruitment process for these positions has already begun. According to the government, notifications to fill all these posts will be issued within the next six months.

Efforts to Connect Youth with Jobs

The government will also launch a digital platform named 'Yuva Udyog Setu.' This platform will connect job-seeking youth with companies, schools, and colleges. It aims to link young people with employment opportunities in the private sector.

Additionally, 100 government ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) in the state will be transformed into employment-focused campuses. Through this initiative, in collaboration with private companies, there is a plan to create employment opportunities for approximately 10,000 youths.
