Government Scheme: Delhi women can avail of this scheme before Rs 2500 comes into their account, and will get amazing benefits

The Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in the national capital after 27 years and made many promises and schemes to the people of Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal also launched many schemes in the interest of the people.

Most of the established schemes were focused on supporting women in particular. Before the elections, the Delhi government launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana. The BJP government had promised to implement its scheme that provides Rs 2500 to eligible participants.

After Rekha Gupta became the Chief Minister of Delhi, the biggest question among the women residents of the city is when will they get Rs 2500 under this program.

Till the above scheme is fully implemented, women of Delhi can avail the benefits of existing schemes. Here are the schemes included.

Delhi Ladli Yojana

Delhi Ladli Yojana Ladli Yojana started its operation in Delhi in 2008 under the local government. This scheme provides financial funds for opening an account at every stage from the birth of the daughter to her education. The Delhi government distributes a reward of Rs 11000 at the time of birth of the daughter.

After the initial payment, the money is given to her on several specified occasions. The entire amount received along with interest becomes available to the daughter when she attains the age of 18 years. The purpose of the money allocation is to provide her access to higher education. Through education, the chances of her future career success become excellent.

Old Age Pension Scheme

The old age pension is operated by the Delhi government as an age-based benefit. All female residents of Delhi who have attained the age of 60 years get this senior citizen pension program through the Delhi "Old Age Pension Scheme". Under this scheme, Rs 2500 is given on a monthly basis in the pension program. Before the elections, the BJP had promised to increase the old age pension scheme from its previous level of Rs 2500 to Rs 3000.

Widow Pension Scheme

Through the Widow Pension Scheme, the Delhi government provides pension benefits to all widowed women of Delhi. The Delhi government operates the Widow Pension Scheme as a separate program. Under this scheme, a pension amount of Rs 2500 per month is distributed to widows/destitute needy women across Delhi. Before the recently held Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP had pledged to increase the financial assistance under this scheme from Rs 2500 to Rs 3000 if it came to power.
