It is worth noting that applications for most government scholarships can be submitted through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). This online platform allows students to apply for various scholarship schemes based on their specific eligibility criteria.

Students who have secured a score of 80 percentile or higher in their Class 12 examinations are eligible to apply for this scheme. Through this scheme, students pursuing various undergraduate courses—including engineering—are awarded an annual scholarship ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000.

Post-Matric Scholarship

The government also administers a Post-Matric Scholarship scheme for students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and minority communities. The objective of this scheme is to encourage economically disadvantaged students to pursue higher education. Under this initiative, financial assistance is provided to cover students’ tuition fees and other educational expenses.
