Google has launched Google Wallet for Android users in India. Many users in the country were waiting for this wallet. Now this wallet can be easily downloaded on Google Play Store.

Please note that you cannot make payments through Google Wallet. Many people thought that it would be able to make payments like Paytm Wallet or Amazon Wallet, but it is not so.

Google Wallet was first launched in the year 2011. After this, in the year 2018, it was replaced by Google Pay in many markets.

Google Pay and Google Wallet are two different apps in the Indian market. You can store many things like flight passes, transit cards, event tickets, boarding passes in Google Wallet. For this, Google has partnered with India's top 20 brands.

You can even store gift cards of Supercoin, Shoppers Stop, and other brands available on Flipkart through Google Wallet. With the help of this wallet, you will now easily get all the cards in one place. Google Wallet works just like Apple Wallet. You can store all the documents in this wallet.

How different is Google Wallet from Google Pay?

Let us tell you that Google Pay and Google Wallet are two different things. You can make payments through UPI in Google Pay. At the same time, you can store cards and documents in Google Wallet.

Apart from Android phones, Google Wallet can also be used in watches with Wear OS. In India, this wallet is a non-payment app whereas in many areas it is counted as a payment service app.

The pass Add-On feature is also available in Google Wallet. For this, you will have to enable this feature on Gmail. After which the pass received on Gmail will be automatically deposited in Google Wallet. To access these passes, biometric verification will have to be done.
