Google Messages: Now there is no mercy for scammers, Google introduced five new features at once..

All the governments and technology companies of the world are working to stop spam and scams, but it is not stopping. Now Google is releasing several new features for its messenger app Google Messages, which aim to improve the privacy of users and protect them from suspicious calls and messages. One of these features is protection from fraudulent texts related to package delivery and jobs, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) models. Apart from this, features related to international callers and contact verification are also included. Google says that it will also warn users about dangerous links by the end of this year.
New Features of Google Messages
Improved spam protection: Beta users of the Messages app, who have turned on spam security, will now get a new feature that will identify potentially fraudulent text messages related to package delivery or jobs and automatically put them in the spam folder. This feature uses on-device machine learning (ML). Google claims that text messages remain private unless they are specifically reported as spam.
Potentially dangerous links: Google is currently running a pilot in India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, which alerts users about potentially dangerous links received from unknown senders and blocks them. The feature will be released globally later this year.
Sensitive content warnings: Google has introduced Sensitive Content Warnings for its Messages app. The feature blurs explicit content and gives users the option to view it. It gives a warning when forwarding it, informing users about it.
Protection from international senders: Google Messages will soon automatically hide text messages received from unknown international senders. These messages will move to the Spam and Blocked folders. The feature will start as a pilot project in Singapore later this year and will gradually be released in other regions.
Contact Verification: Another feature to be released on the messaging platform is Contact Verification. This will allow users to verify the public key of their contacts before sending a message. For this, Google is developing a unified public key verification system, which uses QR codes.
