If you do not want your history to be saved with Google Maps, then a feature has to be enabled for this.

1. Open Google Map.

2. Tap on your profile icon.

3. After this, click on Your Timeline.

4. Now click on the three dots next to the cloud-like icon.

5. Now tap on Location and Privacy Settings.

6. Tap on the first option in the location settings below.

7. If its location is on, then enable it.
