Google has released a new video player for Google Drive. After this new update, any video can be fast-forwarded in Google Drive. A new button has also been released for video forward.

Google has recently given information about this new feature of Google Drive in a blog post. It includes a new layout and modern design. Users can now forward or rewind the video in 15-second intervals through the new button, which appears with the play/pause button. Apart from this, playback speed and captions can also be easily changed without going into the settings of the media player.

According to the company, this feature is available to users in Google Vids which is an upcoming video editor and Gemini uses the large language model (LLMO). The new video player is currently being rolled out to accounts with Rapid Release domains and Google says that it may take up to 15 days for this feature to appear for all users.

Scheduled release Domain accounts will begin receiving the feature starting November 18, with visibility starting 3 days after the rollout. The feature is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
