Good news: Now LPG gas cylinders will be available in Rajasthan for just Rs 450, CM Bhajanlal has announced

Under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), about 1.09 crore families in Rajasthan will now get LPG cylinders for Rs 450. Earlier this benefit was available only to Ujjwala and BPL families, now 33 lakh additional families will be included in it.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also announced changes in the recruitment rules to facilitate the long-pending recruitment of Class IV employees. Young entrepreneurs will now be able to take loans up to Rs 2 crore at concessional rates to set up industries.

The remaining recommendations of the committees to remove salary anomalies of employees will come into effect from September 1. Apart from this, the Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on the lines of AIIMS, purchase of 1,000 electric buses, and establishment of development authorities in Bikaner and Bharatpur were announced. The salaries, allowances, and pensions of MLAs and former MLAs will increase automatically without the need for a new bill.

These announcements were made by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma during a short budget presentation while responding to the debate on the Finance and Appropriation Bill in the Assembly on Monday. After this, the Assembly passed the state budget and Speaker Vasudev Devnani adjourned the session till 11 am on Tuesday.

Additional announcements:

Candidates with 40% marks will now be able to appear in the Common Entrance Test (CET) for government services.

Allocation of ₹1 lakh was for building permanent houses in informal settlements, and ₹50 crore was allocated for Aashray Yojana.

Pensioners aged 70 to 75 years will get a 5% increase in their allowance.

Integration of Revenue and Tax Board offices in Jaipur and Ajmer.
Establishment of an Electropathy Board with a budget of ₹5 crore, recognizing electropathy under the Vasundhara Raje government.

Budget of ₹750 crore for RIMS.

Recruitment of Class IV employees will resume.

1000 electric buses will be purchased instead of the previously fixed 500. A new beautification project for the Dravyavati River in Jaipur. The daily mess allowance of NCC cadets will be increased from Rs 150 to Rs 220 during the games. Construction of sports stadiums in Pali, Bali, Khinvsar, Nagaur and Lohiaghat. Rs 7.50 crore was allocated to Rajasthan Bar Council for lawyer assistance. Establishment of IT Park in Ajmer. Announcement of ban on hunting in Asind area and creation of hunting prohibition zone. New agricultural markets in Didwana and Bhadauti. Opening of new milk collection centers. Deployment of Border Home Guard Company in Tijara and Kherthal. Solar power plants will be installed on the rooftops of MLAs' flats in front of the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan.
