Good news for those going home on Diwali, the UP government will run special buses on this route, see details here.

A few days before Diwali and Chhath, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has decided to run 4,000 additional buses in view of the increasing number of passengers.
These buses will be run on various routes as per demand, especially between big cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, and Ayodhya. According to the report, at present, there are about 11,000 buses in the UPSRTC fleet, which will increase to 15,000 during the festival.
During Diwali, many people from different parts of the country go to their homes, making these services important. Meanwhile, special preparations have been made for the Delhi route. Most buses will run on this route.
Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh has directed the officials to provide 100 percent bus service from Diwali to Chhath. He also stressed that during this period, holidays should be given to the employees only under special circumstances.
The state government has announced an additional daily allowance of Rs 350 for drivers and conductors from October 29 to November 10. Employees who complete 12 days of duty will get Rs 4,200, while employees working for 13 days will get Rs 5,200. Workshop employees will also get bonuses based on their completion of duty.
