Good news has come out for the state government employees. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken an important decision in the wider interest of the state government employees. A 4 percent increase in dearness allowance has been announced at the central level to the state government employees benefiting from the Seventh Pay Commission. It has been announced that this benefit will be given to the employees from January 1, 2024.

A total of 4.71 lahks Karmayogis and about 4.73 lakh retired employees i.e. pensioners of state government, panchayat service, and others will be able to get the benefit of the increased difference amount of dearness allowance for 6 months i.e. from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024 in three installments.

Accordingly, the difference amount between January 2024 and February 2024 will be paid to the employees with the salary of July 2024, the difference amount between March and April 2024 with the salary of August 2024 and the arrears will be paid. Dearness Allowance for May and June-2024 will be paid to the employees with the salary of September-2024.

The state government will pay a total of Rs 1129.51 crore to the employees under the head of these arrears. Instructions have also been given regarding the necessary orders to be made by the Finance Department for the implementation of this employee welfare decision of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
