Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat: In view of the increasing passenger volume on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, additional train trips have been introduced during peak hours. This will significantly reduce the waiting time for daily commuters.

Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat: Observing the continuously rising number of passengers on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, the NCRTC has once again increased the frequency of trains during peak hours. Now, 10 additional Namo Bharat train trips will be operated between Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut South. Prior to this, 8 additional trips were added just last week. The objective of this new arrangement is to provide greater convenience to passengers, minimize waiting times, and make the commute smoother.

Services Expanded During Morning and Evening Rush Hours

According to the new timetable, 10 additional trips will be available during the morning peak hours, from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Similarly, during the evening rush hours—between 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM—8 additional train trips will be operated. In total, the addition of these 18 new trips means passengers will have access to more trains, and seat availability is also expected to improve.

Major Benefit for Daily Commuters and Students

This decision by the NCRTC is expected to provide the greatest relief to daily office-goers, students, and regular commuters. The increased train frequency will reduce waiting times for passengers, making their commute significantly more comfortable than before.

Approximately 100,000 Passengers Commuting Daily

The number of passengers on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor continues to rise steadily. Currently, approximately 100,000 passengers utilize this service every day. This figure demonstrates that people are rapidly embracing Namo Bharat as a fast, safe, reliable, and comfortable mode of regional transport.

Namo Bharat Emerges as a Reliable Source of Relief Amidst Scorching Heat

In several regions—including Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut—temperatures are soaring to nearly 45 degrees Celsius, and heatwave-like conditions currently prevail. At a time like this, the fully air-conditioned Namo Bharat trains are offering passengers a comfortable travel option while providing relief from the scorching heat.

Relief from Traffic Congestion and Environmental Benefits

Amidst the growing congestion and traffic jams on roads during peak hours, Namo Bharat has emerged as a fast and convenient alternative for commuters. This service is not only helping to reduce dependence on private vehicles but is also promoting eco-friendly public transportation.

This initiative by the NCRTC is considered particularly significant in light of the Prime Minister’s recent appeal for greater utilization of public transport. Prioritizing passenger convenience, the organization is continuously working to strengthen Namo Bharat services. The increase in train trips during peak hours is viewed as a crucial step toward bolstering a sustainable and modern public transportation system within the NCR region.
