Golden opportunity to get a job in Railways, more than 3500 posts are being recruited in Southern Railway

Southern Railway has released recruitment for bumper posts under apprenticeship. For which candidates can apply by visiting the official website?

A great opportunity has come for the youth dreaming of a government job in the Railways. Southern Railway has issued a notification for recruitment to a total of 3518 posts under apprenticeship. The application process has started and interested candidates can apply online till 25 September 2025. For this, they have to visit the official website of Southern Railway sr.indianrailways.gov.in.

Under this recruitment drive, apprentices will be appointed in various workshops and units of Southern Railway. This includes Carriage and Wagon Works Perambur, Central Workshop Golden Rock and Signal and Telecom Workshop Units Pondnur. A total of 3518 candidates will get a chance for apprenticeship at all these places.

The educational qualification of the candidates has been fixed according to the post and trade. The candidates applying must have passed 10th, 12th or ITI. At the same time, the age limit has been kept at a minimum of 15 years and maximum 22 to 24 years. Candidates of reserved category will get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules of the government.

This much application fee will have to be paid

The application process will be completely online. First of all, the candidates have to go to the official website and click on the Act Apprentice 2025-26 link. After this, all the information sought after registering will have to be filled. On completion of registration, login and fill the remaining details and submit the form. General and OBC category candidates will have to deposit Rs 100 as application fee, while the application has been kept free for SC, ST, Divyang and all women candidates.

This much stipend will be given

During the apprenticeship, the selected candidates will also be given a stipend every month. In this, 10th pass freshers will get a stipend of Rs 6000 and 12th pass or ITI holders will get a stipend of Rs 7000 per month. This stipend will provide financial support to the candidates during training and will provide them experience as well as financial strength.
