Applications for recruitment to 4361 posts of driver constable in Bihar Police will start from July 21. 10th / 12th pass and driving license holders can apply till August 20.
Another golden opportunity has come up for the youth of Bihar to get a government job. The Central Selection Board (CSBC) has released the notification for recruitment to 4361 posts of Driver Constable in Bihar Police. These appointments will be made in various districts, units and special armed police forces of Bihar Police. Online applications for this recruitment process will start from July 21, 2025, and interested candidates will be able to apply till August 20, 2025.
Candidates applying for these posts must be at least 10th or 12th pass. Also, they must have at least 1 year of experience in driving light or heavy motor vehicles. Talking about physical standards, the minimum height of male candidates should be 165 cm, chest 81 cm (without inflation) and 86 cm (after inflation).
Age limit
Talking about the age limit, the minimum age has been fixed at 20 years. The maximum age of general category candidates is 25 years, OBC 27 years, OBC women 28 years, and SC/ST category 30 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of date of birth recorded in the 10th class certificate.
How much salary?
Candidates selected under this recruitment will get monthly salary ranging from 21,700 to 69,100. This pay scale has been fixed according to the Seventh Pay Commission.
This much application fee will have to be paid
Candidates will have to pay the application fee. SC/ST and natives of Bihar will have to pay a fee of Rs 180 for the application. While all others will have to pay a fee of Rs 675.
This is how the selection will be done
Now let's talk about the selection process. Candidates will be selected in four stages. In the first stage, written examination, then physical efficiency test (PET), followed by motor vehicle driver test and finally document verification will be done. It will be mandatory to be successful in every stage.
