That is, now the new rule of hallmarking (gold hallmark ka niyam) has been implemented on 9 carat gold as well. 9k gold is cheaper; it will be easier to buy cheap jewelry.

9 carat gold is this much percent pure

Recently, this month, 9 carat gold has been included in the hallmarking (gold hallmark new rules) category by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Hallmark shows the purity of gold.

Now all jewelers and hallmarking centers will have to follow the new rules of BIS. 9 carat gold with 375 points indicates 37.5 percent purity. Cheap jewelry is made by mixing other metals with it.

This will be beneficial for customers.

Hallmarking of 9 carat gold will also benefit customers a lot. With this, customers will now be assured of the purity of 9 carat gold. This step of the government is being appreciated all around. This step of the government can also increase the export of gold (gold selling tips) in the coming time.

Hallmark is not mandatory for these gold items.

This rule is not necessary for watches and pens made of gold. After the implementation of this new rule, a category of gold has been added to the rules of hallmarking (gold hallmark rules 2025).
