While gold prices rose, silver witnessed a decline. Today, the price of silver dropped by ₹5,000 to ₹2.27 lakh per kilogram. Previously, silver had closed at ₹2.32 lakh per kilogram. This means the price of silver decreased by ₹5,000 in a single trading session.
Both gold and silver became cheaper this week
Despite the recovery in gold prices over the last two trading sessions, the metal remains lower when looking at the week as a whole. Gold prices have fallen by ₹2,800—or approximately 2 percent—this week. Meanwhile, the price of silver has recorded a decline of ₹10,000, or approximately 4.2 percent.
