Gold Price Today: Gold prices slipped on Gandhi Jayanti; 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,36,940 in Delhi, while silver also remained subdued.
On October 2, coinciding with the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, gold prices in the country have seen a decline. On Friday morning, the price of 24-carat gold in the capital, Delhi, stood at ₹1,49,400 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the price is ₹1,49,230 per 10 grams. A day earlier, the price of 99.9% pure gold in Delhi's bullion market had risen by ₹500. Over the course of this week, gold prices have fallen by ₹2,800, or approximately 2 percent.
In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,165.29 per ounce. Weak inflation data from the US dampened expectations of a benchmark interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve in October, leading to a rally in gold prices in the global market. Domestic gold and silver prices are influenced by both local and global factors.
