Gold prices in the country have risen again, with rates increasing in most cities. On the morning of July 16, the price of 24-carat gold in the capital, Delhi, climbed to ₹1,43,730 per 10 grams. Rates in Mumbai and Kolkata reached ₹1,43,580 per 10 grams, while in Chennai, the price stood at ₹1,43,790 per 10 grams. In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,029.66 per ounce. A day earlier, the price of 99.9% pure gold in Delhi's bullion market had remained steady at the Tuesday level of ₹1,46,300 per 10 grams.

Gold price in Delhi: The price of 24-carat gold in Delhi is ₹1,43,730 per 10 grams. The rate for 22-carat gold is ₹1,31,760 per 10 grams.

Mumbai and Kolkata: In Mumbai and Kolkata, the price of 22-carat gold is ₹1,31,610 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-carat gold is ₹1,43,580 per 10 grams.

Gold price in Chennai: The price of 24-carat gold is ₹1,43,790 per 10 grams. The rate for 22-carat gold is ₹1,31,810 per 10 grams.

HSBC has stated that the average price of gold could stand at $4,560 per ounce in 2026. It has projected the average gold price to be $4,925 per ounce in 2027. By the end of this year, the price could reach $4,750. By the end of next year, the price could rise to $5,025 per ounce.

Silver Price

Unlike gold, the price of silver—another precious metal—has declined. On the morning of July 16, silver is trading at ₹234,900 per kilogram. The domestic silver market is witnessing a slowdown due to reduced buying by jewelers and industries. In the international market, the price of spot silver stands at $58.26 per ounce. Domestic prices for gold and silver are influenced by both local and global factors.
