A surge in crude oil prices—driven by these geopolitical tensions—has exerted pressure on gold, causing its price to dip for the third consecutive day. Following a brief period of stability, the price of gold in the national capital, Delhi, has fallen for the third consecutive day. Over these three days, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has dropped by ₹1,540, while 22-carat gold has become cheaper by ₹1,410.
Specifically today, the price of 10 grams of both 24-carat and 22-carat gold in Delhi has decreased by ₹10. As for silver, geopolitical tensions combined with sluggish industrial demand have weighed on its price, causing it to lose some of its luster. After remaining stable for three days, silver prices have declined today; the price of one kilogram of silver has dropped by ₹100. City-wise Gold Prices

As for today, the price of silver in Delhi has dropped by ₹100, bringing it to ₹2,34,900 per kilogram. **Reasons for the Pressure**

Jatin Trivedi, Vice President (Commodity & Currency Research Analyst) at LKP Securities, states that gold has come under pressure following indications from the US Federal Reserve regarding a potential interest rate hike in 2026. This has strengthened the US dollar and dampened the appeal of assets like gold, which do not yield interest. Significant profit-booking has also been observed in the bullion market following the Fed's hawkish stance.
