Gold prices in the country have risen on Friday, September 11, the last trading day before Ganesh Chaturthi. Prices for both 24-carat and 22-carat gold have increased in most cities. In the capital, Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold rose to ₹1,55,670 per 10 grams in the morning. In Mumbai, the rate stands at ₹1,55,520 per 10 grams. A day earlier, the declining trend in gold prices—which had persisted for three sessions—halted in Delhi's bullion market, with prices rising by ₹600. In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,340.71 per ounce.

Market participants are awaiting US retail inflation data due on Friday, which could provide clues regarding the Federal Reserve's policy decision in September. The US Federal Reserve is scheduled to hold its policy meeting on September 15–16.
