Recently, the 'H1 2026 Precious Metals Report' by Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited stated that the traditional relationship between gold prices and geopolitical conflicts is shifting. Inflation, interest rates, and monetary policy have emerged as more significant factors influencing bullion prices. According to the report, the first half of the current year demonstrated that geopolitical risks alone are insufficient to sustain a rally in gold prices. The market is no longer focusing solely on geopolitical developments but is also observing their impact on expectations regarding inflation, interest rates, and monetary policy.

Silver Price

In contrast to gold, the price of silver—another precious metal—is witnessing a decline. On the morning of August 13, the price fell to ₹254,900 per kilogram. In the international market, the price of spot silver stands at $66.23 per ounce.
