Gold prices in the country are witnessing a rise on the first day of the new month, October. On the morning of October 1, the price of 24-carat gold in the capital, Delhi, stands at ₹1,48,930 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the price is ₹1,49,580 per 10 grams. Rates have increased in other cities as well. A day earlier, the price of 99.9% pure gold in Delhi's bullion market had risen by ₹700. Gold strengthened in the domestic market due to buying by investors at lower price points.

In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,152.86 per ounce. Domestic gold and silver prices are influenced by both local and global factors.
