Talking about now, after opening any mail on the Gmail app, options like Reply, Reply All, and Forward appear below the mail. Only after selecting any one of these options, does the full-screen compose view pop up for a reply.

After the new update, Gmail Android users will be able to directly draft their mail for a reply after scrolling down any mail and coming to the bottom.

In the blog post, Google has told its Gmail Android users that from today you will be able to reply to the email right below the conversation. For this, you will not need to open a new screen separately. We know that this new option will be special for you regarding quick, lightweight, and formal response. You can also access new formatting options by expanding the text box.

Reply to the mail without opening a new screen

First of all, the Gmail app has to be opened on the Android device.

Now the mail you want to reply to has to be opened.

After scrolling down, click on the text box at the bottom.

Type the reply in the box and click on the send icon.

If you want, you can also view the full-screen ccomposition For this, you can tap on Expand to full screen. If you are not able to see such an option on an Android device yet, then you can wait for some time. This new feature will be rolled out gradually.
