PM Kisan Yojana 19th Installment: There is good news for the farmers waiting for the 19th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. The wait of the farmers is going to end on 24 February 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to give a gift to the farmers in Bhagalpur, Bihar. PM Modi will transfer Rs 2000 to the bank accounts of farmers under the 19th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana by pressing the budget.

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given this information in a press conference. The Agriculture Minister said a nationwide mega Kisan Samman Samaroh will be organized in Bhagalpur (Bihar) on 24 February 2025. In this conference, Rs 2000 will be transferred to the bank accounts of farmers under the 19th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He informed that in the last 18th installment of PM Kisan Yojana, Rs 20,665 crore was given by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. On February 24, more than Rs 22,000 crore will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of about 9.80 crore farmers in the 19th installment.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan said farmer welfare is the top priority of the Modi government. To increase production, reduce the cost of production, get the right price for production, compensate for crop losses, diversification of agriculture, campaigns of missions like natural farming, and reduce costs, the important scheme PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started by Prime Minister Modi in 2019. He said that the Prime Minister will transfer the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to the accounts of farmers with a single click from Bhagalpur on 24 February 2025. Till now, money used to go to the accounts of about 9 crore 60 lakh farmers from this fund. If any eligible farmer is left out, then the process of adding his name has been carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture. This time an amount of Rs 22 thousand crore will be transferred to about 9 crore 80 lakh farmers.

The Agriculture Minister said that about two and a half crore farmers will join this program physically and virtually. Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Rs 6,000 is given directly in three installments. About Rs 3.46 lakh crore has been deposited in the accounts of farmers. As soon as the 19th installment is released, a total of Rs 3.68 lakh crore will reach the accounts of farmers. Small farmers used to face problems of fertilizers and seeds at the time of sowing and they had to fulfill their needs by taking loans on interest. The farmer fulfills the necessary expenses related to agriculture from this fund. He said that IMPRI conducted an independent study of PM Kisan, which showed that the funds received under this scheme have helped in overcoming the debt constraints of the farmer. The risk-taking capacity of the farmer has also increased.
