When the results for the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education were declared on Thursday (April 23), Ghazipur’s name suddenly appeared on the merit list. Indeed, Rajveer—a student of Adarsh ​​Inter College in Ghazipur—made history by securing the sixth position in the top-10 merit list. Rajveer scored 96.83% marks, thereby bringing glory not only to his village and family but to the entire district of Ghazipur.

Rajveer Did Not Even Go to Check His Result

Rajveer Tiwari shared that while he had prepared rigorously for the exam, he had never anticipated such a result. He admitted that he was actually quite terrified regarding the outcome. Consequently—driven by this fear—he did not even go to check his result; instead, he headed straight to his coaching center.

His Father Delivered the Good News

According to Rajveer, when the Education Department conveyed this good news to his father, his father rushed to the coaching center to inform him of the result. Rajveer states that he had worked extremely hard for this examination, and the fruits of that labor are now evident to everyone. Upon receiving the news of his result, his home was flooded with well-wishers arriving to offer their congratulations. Rajveer Tiwari expressed that, following today’s success, he aspires to reach even greater heights. He intends to pursue a career in either the UPSC civil services or the field of engineering, thereby continuing to bring honor to his family and his school.

How ​​Did Ghazipur Fare in the Results?

District School Inspector Prakash Singh stated that Ghazipur’s performance in the UP Board Class 10 examination has been exceptionally good. Speaking of the overall results for the Ghazipur district, the pass percentage for the High School (Class 10) examination stood at 92.13%, while the pass percentage for the Intermediate (Class 12) examination was 74.75%. During this announcement, it was noted that two candidates from the Ghazipur district have once again secured a spot in the top ten rankings; specifically, Rajveer Tiwari secured the 6th position, while Anamika Gupta attained the 10th position. Meanwhile, in the Intermediate (Class 12) examinations, the district topper is Sambhavi Gupta, a student of Lourdes Convent School.

How ​​were the UP Board Results?

This year, the pass percentage in the UP Board examination results showed an improvement. In Class 10, a total of 90.42% of students were successful, while 80.83% of candidates passed in Class 12. A closer look at the UP Board statistics reveals that 87.30% of male students passed in Class 10, whereas female students delivered a stellar performance, achieving a success rate of 93.76%. In Class 12, 75.04% of male students were successful, while 86.32% of female students passed the examination, thereby taking the lead.
