Under this scheme, ₹2,500 will be deposited monthly into the bank accounts of eligible women. The application process started on August 1, 2026. Will all women in Delhi benefit from the scheme?

To avail the benefits of this scheme, a woman must be between 21 and 60 years of age.
Additionally, the family’s annual income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
The woman must be a resident of Delhi and have been living there for 10 years.
No family member should be paying income tax or GST.
Furthermore, no family member should hold a government job.
Please note that the family must not own a car.
Keep these documents ready in advance.

If you wish to apply for this scheme, familiarize yourself with the required documents beforehand. These include:

Aadhaar card
Identity proof
Bank details
Aadhaar-linked bank account
Proof of residence in Delhi
Passport-sized photograph
Signature

Remember, the applicant must have been residing in Delhi for 10 years and provide proof of the same; documents such as a Voter ID card, driving license, electricity bill, gas connection details, or ration card can be used for this purpose.

Age criteria for availing the scheme

You can avail the benefits of this scheme only if you are between 21 and 60 years of age. For this, you will need to prove your age and present certain mandatory documents, such as:

PAN card
Voter ID card
10th-grade mark sheet
Birth certificate
You may submit any one of these documents.

Approval from an MLA or MP is mandatory

In addition to these documents, you must also obtain a letter of support from your local MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) or MP (Member of Parliament).

How ​​to apply online?

To apply, first visit the official portal of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana.
Next, click on the ‘Citizen Login’ option.
Then, go to ‘Register Now’.
Enter your Aadhaar number and date of birth (DOB) here.
Once registration is complete, create an ID and password.
Then, log in to the portal.
After that, enter details regarding yourself, your family, and your bank account in the application form.
Upload all the required documents.
Also, upload the letter of support from the MLA/MP.
Finally, review all the information and submit the form.

Also, take note of this rule regarding the scheme

Only one woman per family can avail the benefits of this scheme. This means that if there are two women in your family—one aged 40 and another aged 35—only the older woman will receive the benefit. Preparations are underway to transfer the first installment of the scheme to the bank accounts of eligible women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
