Google announced the Veo 3 model during the I/O event held in May 2025, which was a big step in the field of video generation. Now, making this AI model more useful, Google has launched the Image to Video Generation feature in the Gemini app. This means that now users can create videos even from just one photo.

Now, a video will be made from a photo, that too on the Gemini app.

Through this new feature, Google AI Ultra and Google AI Pro plan users can create 3 video clips (each of 8 seconds) per day, i.e., it is a paid service. You have to spend at least Rs 1950 every month. These video clips will have audio and can be generated directly in the Gemini app. Google said, "You can animate everyday things, give life to your drawings and paintings, or add movement to nature scenes through this feature."

How to use this feature?

Open the Gemini app and select the "Videos" option from the toolbar of the prompt box.
Choose an image from your photo gallery.
Give Gemini detailed instructions to create a video based on that image, such as what kind of animation is needed, what the background should be, what audio is used, etc.
In a few minutes, Gemini will convert that still image into a dynamic video.

What's special?
A visible watermark and a SynthID digital watermark, which will be invisible. Users can give feedback on these videos by giving thumbs up or down, so that Google can improve the feature further. This feature is also available on Google's Flow tool, which is designed for AI filmmaking.
